Flat, Punctured

It was 6pm.. time to head for the gym...

went down to the car park, only to find my tyre flattened, with a hissing sound when I put my head just beside the tyre.

What to do?

C: Hello D, tell you sth.. my tyre punctured

D: ahz? what you going to do? make a call? NRMA? Honda?

C: I think I will fixed it up myself.. (proceeds to open the boot and brings the spare tyre and the tools out)

C: how come will burst?

D: stop thinking of why? think of what to do..

C: (getting agitated).. I'll call you back

ring ring

D: why dont you call Honda and ask them about it.

C: ok.. what's the number

D: 1800....... is toll-free

C: all rightz.. call you back later..

rang up Honda, and they send NRMA down to fix up my tyre..5 minutes job.

jack up, screw out, tyre down.

install spare tyre, screw in, jack down. "there you go"...

in the end, din have to pay a cent, just 40 mins of my time. and I miss gym..

went to Star City and got ang pow from God of Fortune..

believe it or not, i had a dream last night. In it, my car crash quite badly...maybe what happened was a blessing in disguise

thanks D for being with me and travelling up North to meet me. What a experience. Still have to send my Hondaz to get a new tyre.

Happy Lunar New Year

Gong Xi Fa Cai everybody in this Year of the Ox May all of us harvest prosperity and success in all aspects. Not forgetting HEALTH.. most important.

Had our reunion dinner on Sunday. Luckily, this year, "chu yi" is also Australia Day here, which means we get a public holiday. Denise needs to work though.

Anyway, trying to be in the mood for tradition, we had fun cooking dishes that meant something. We have leeks, tau kua, mushroom, fish etc. We also had pineapple tarts too. Rare delicacy over here.

The day I'm looking forward is here.. long weekend.. but is gonna be over soon. tomorrow, my year officially starts, cos I need to work. Fresh start, fresh ambitions, fresh resolutions.

remember when your primary school teacher ask you about your ambition?
doctor, lawyer, pilot are popular answers. I definitely did not say engineer.

Did we even ever gave a serious thought about it? I'm sure many of us are doing what "the path" is leading us to. Many of us.. the path is education results.

How do we actually go and achieve our ambition. Surely, it doesnt just happened.
Opportunities come and go. We have to make sure we grab them when they arrived. Many sources would say networking is important but I'm sure everything comes at a price, and has its own pros and cons.

What is my ambition? I've been asking myself. Unrealistically, it is to become a sportsperson.
Realistically, i'm not sure although i'm proud to be an engineer, a traffic engineer.

these couple of days, pretty interested in sports management. There's actually an MBA with sports management as an elective. Just a thought.

2 days to go to weekend. another 4 days to Chinese New Year.
